I'm very grateful to all of you who have been SO supportive of my small business and I want to thank each of you for your continued interest, spreading the word, sharing it with your friends and coming to shows! Now a new boutique which is a lil' closer to our area in Pierz which has me super excited and I'm so grateful for! Of course my jewelry continues to be a hit in Elbow Lake at KR-Digital Gifts and Frame shop! I'll be visiting that store real soon as well, because it needs a fresh update on jewelry items!!  February Greetings! It's tax paperwork season over here.... mainly for all the things hubby does and I'm glad mine is all done for the Jewelry Biz. So, needless to say I'm trying to keep from pulling out my hair like I usually do this time of year 😂 and working on having a calm mindset and for the most part it's working - but there still are moments. LOL. This year hubby is a lil more involved than in the past and that helps too. But enough of taxes.... on to the upcoming events and the so far beautiful "warm" Minnesota winter we've been having. Last weeks encouragement scripture for me was something along the lines of DON"T WORRY.... I'm really good at worrying and I'd rather not be good at that... I'd rather be good at trusting God....😊 Don't worry about anything but in everything through prayer and petition with THANKSGIVING present your requests to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Well, it's kept me much calmer this past week. 😊 I've been reading A.W.Tozer's book "The Pursuit of God" and this following quote in the last chapter caught my attention (as many other things throughout the book)... ***Quote: Let every man abide in the calling wherein he is called and his work will be as sacred as the work of the ministry. It is not what a man does that determines whether his work is sacred or secular, it is why he does it. The motive is everything. Let a man sanctify the Lord God in his heart and he can thereafter do no common act. All he does is good and acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For such a man, living itself will be sacramental and the whole world a sanctuary. His entire life will be a priestly ministration. As he performs his never so simple task he will hear the voice of the seraphim saying "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory".*** end quote (A.W.Tozer "The Pursuit Of God") This means....even doing the taxes, creating jewelry, playing music, spending time with husband or friend.... This doesn't mean that we can do no wrong, it means that the attitude of our heart when we sanctify the Lord there is that of everything we do we do as unto the Lord and that is what makes the difference. For us that season is generally quiet as it's just Warren and I, so after a very busy show season starting in October with a craft/art show almost every weekend, it's ok for us to just have a little quiet, although that's the time we miss family and friends the most. Our last event for 2023 was actually a Christmas Concert at the Barnabas Christian Coffeehouse in Chippewa Falls, WI. Although a lil drive, it's always such a HUGE blessing to be with the folks there, play music, chat, enjoy fellowship and conversation and stay up with my guitar playing/singing skills, as I haven't been doing much of that this past year. Hubby Warren's sax always adds SO much to a few of the songs he plays on and people love it. At least he gets to keep up his chops with participating in the worship team at church every so often. I'm more of a small group/concert musician, so I'm quite content to leave the worship leading in church to those who feel called to do so. Again I want to wish everyone a healthy, happy, blessed, peaceful, calm, stillness of heart and trust in God New Year and may we all stay strong, remain hopeful and joyful in the presence of God. Honestly I'm not sure how I feel about this change, due to the fact with my jewelry I rely on lots more foot traffic from events at the Community Center. City Hall seems removed from lots of activity, especially if there are no other events going on. Here are some of the latest items: I found this fun cat pendant which is a perfect match for the Paris Inspired Style of knotted leather & beads. The beads from my stash matched perfectly! So fun. Then I re-ordered the rustic copper heart horse, a rustic feather and found a rustic dragonfly. These necklaces are more simple with the beads (per suggestion of one of my customers) and she had a great idea for those who don't like a lot of beads and a more simple approach.
