  Happy Summer to you all! So grateful for the warm temps which overall have been so pleasant in MN with the exception of a few hot and humid days (like during the Art Fair at Munsinger Gardens), it's been a great summer so far. We've also had hail last weekend and some really big ones, golf ball size and bigger in some places. Thankfully we didn't have any damage. We had a great time with my daughter and family as my granddaughter Hannah was playing softball tournaments. So it's been fun watching her play as we don't get to see her often with them living so far away. This was her last softball tournament as she will be going on to college after the summer vacation ends. So proud of her and excited for her new adventure in life! Hopefully you all can enjoy your summer days, vacation, sport activities, fishing or just hanging out in the back yard, or even getting some yard chores done (which we still need to do by the way)! Lots of activities are planned for August....so on to the upcoming events! Our women’s group has decided that we will continue to meet during the summer instead of taking a summer break and those of us who are around and available will get together to meet, pray, study the Word or just fellowship. August 6 we will meet at Sauk Rapids Municipal Park at 11:30 am! *Liquid Assets is closed as of Saturday July 20 to prepare for new ownership. However in the meanwhile a new owner has bought the business and hopes to have Liquid Assets back open again mid-August under the same name as always. We hope that they will continue to open their doors for our bible study group to meet in the meeting room on Tuesdays. For now we will meet at individual WOW ladies homes, or in the park weather permitting. So if you are interested to attend, please contact us. (You can email me at: [email protected]) Date: August 9-10, 2019 Event: Deerwood Summerfest (Warren's BBQ) Time: 10-5 on both days Location: Downtown Deerwood along the main roads Town: Deerwood, MN Hubby Warren will be serving up his famous Beef Brisket BBQ, BBQ Grilled Chicken, Cheese Curds and Fries and more.... Date: August 17, 2019 Time: 8a - 3p Event: From The Heart Art & Craft Fair Location: Outdoor on James Street & Augusta Ave Town: Paynesville, MN This is the second year we will be participating as street vendors. We will have one tent that Warren and I are sharing with his BBQ sauce and my NotesNBling jewelry. There will be food, music and lots of great vendors! Date: August 24, 2019 Time: 11a-4p Event: Common Roots Festival/Bazaar Location: Lady Slipper Parking Lot (by Perkins downtown St. Cloud) Town: St. Cloud, MN I will be there with my NotesNBling jewelry. Warren will have a BBQ tent to sell some food. NOTES-N-BLING UPDATE: With the upcoming events for NotesNBling, I continue to create new designs which will also soon appear in my Etsy Shop besides just being on my Facebook page. Which reminds me.... I do need to update all photos into albums on my Facebook page as well with prices and descriptions so you guys can find the items easier than just the photos on my newsfeed.... Praise report and update on my brother-in-law Kent. He is doing much better and is home and ready to tackle the next adventure in his life! Thank you Jesus! We are still waiting for some other test results, but at least he is feeling so much better! Thank you so much for praying for him and please continue! Thank you also for praying for us as we have pretty much every weekend booked with events in August. We are looking forward to them, but they do take their toll on the energy levels. Music wise, I'm going to be playing more around the home front and in smaller settings such as my women's WOW Group, playing at the Hospice house, Life group, bible studies and The BURN 24/7 Central MN. Of course if someone would like me to come and play out of town, I'll be sure to make that happen :) Well, that's all for this update.  So here we are in July and I TOTALLY missed my June Music Notes! It's like summer got here like a whirlwind and we have been doing so much stuff, to where it felt like I didn't know if I was coming or going. Honestly this start of the summer has been the most taxing and exhausting time for us both, physically and a bit emotionally too. Yet, so thankful that we are still able to do what we are doing. However we are needing to re-think some things and make adjustments for next year. The fireworks season was another less successful venture, so we are most likely going back down to one tent, keeping the one in Sauk Rapids for the Tent Revival. The Burn 24/7 Central Minnesota Music, Worship and Prayer day is such a blessing after fireworks sales are over. A Boy Scout leader approached us in Waite Park at the tent so hopefully they will be interested to man/staff this one with volunteers for their donation of the proceeds. BBQing has been going great, almost too great as Warren has been getting quite a few more events and caterings. With the heat and just the two of us, it's been quite the challenge though. Guess we aren't getting any younger. Haha. Warren is so thrilled how much people have enjoyed his food! Well, more about all that in the details coming up below. So read on.... JULY RECAPTURE: About the middle of June our preparations for the two TNT fireworks tents began with getting tents ready (which were set up by TNT) with bunting decorations, getting tables ready for display, receiving the merchandise, doing inventory and then the sell dates from June 22 until July 6. It was a long selling season with lots of rainy days.... The best part I always look forward to is THE BURN 24/7 prayer, praise, worship, music event under the big tent once fireworks sales are over. So there are some pictures of all that: Hubby's Warren's BBQ - this time in Pierz, MN for the Freedom Fest. At Art in the Park at Munsinger Gardens. This event is every year on the Third Thursday of July. This year was a hot and sticky one for sure! NOTES-N-BLING Update: Now being able to be back in my Design Studio for NotesNBling, there's a few new items being created in the last few days! So excited about some new techniques I'm trying out and already sold some that - hot off the design table!!! Here are some examples. Music wise - It has been very different for me this spring and early summer. Usually I've been in South Dakota and Colorado in May/beginning of June. This year with InspireSong being cancelled and IndieHeaven no longer in existance as of May, I've missed my lil touring trip. Last year I was even able to go back "home" to New Mexico and visit South Texas, expanding my music tour to those places which was such a HUGE blessing. Truly have missed doing that this year, yet on the other hand it was also a blessing to be home and be of help to hubby and we got yard clean-up done and other little things that needed to be taken care of in the yard. Bigger things are still planned such as laying out the free granite pieces we got to make a BBQ area and make our waterhose area less muddy by laying out stone. Since it had been so hot and humid and we have had nothing but one event after the other that's still something we hope to get done and finished before the snow flies and the fall shows begin! Please pray for my brother-in-law 'Kent' who is dealing with pretty serious health conditions and is in the hospital in Oklahoma. Well, that's all the news for this go around.
