"What a blessing! Sam Scales was the perfect opener for our recent benefit concert for New Horizons House International! (newhorizonshouse.org). Sam connected with our audience in an incredibly personal way and touched our hearts with her gift of song and her beautiful spirit. It wasn't a performance; it was worship. Sam was also the first to step up and donate a portion of her merchandise sales to help the girls in India who are being rescued from human-trafficking. Thank you, Sam!!"

Hi Sam,
Just to let you know – many great reports have been going around the apartment complex about your performance on Saturday here. My manager was very pleased at the amount of feedback people shared with her. She is bummed now that she was unable to make it.
She is also impressed with the poster you made for your upcoming Christmas Concert here at the apartment complex and she is bringing one to the corporate office to show the ‘bigwigs’ who will be entertaining us at our Christmas Party. She’s excited and can’t wait to hear you sing – however – she’s already been listening to you from your website…
Again, spectacular show you put on! We look forward to seeing you and your husband Warren and hear you both play on December 4th!

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Samantha Scales-Arnold. Sam recently served on our ministry team which provides an annual two-day jail retreat at the Benton County Jail in Foley, Minnesota. This two day event begins early, both days at 7am and runs 14 hours the first day and 9 hours the second day. It was Sam’s primary role to provide us with worship music for both days. In addition to that, she served as a Table Resource person, whose job it is to be a kind and caring person at her table and to help facilitate table discussions.
Sam was an absolute joy to listen to and to sing along with. She is a Spirit-filled individual with a ready smile and infectious energy. Her portfolio of songs that she has written is extensive and dynamic. Her songs are sung with passion and contain lyrics that are deeply touching and personal, yet easy to remember. With great vocal skills and guitar, she ministers to the hearts and souls of her audience. Throughout the weekend, she proved herself to be an engaging worship leader as well as a great performer. There is soulful power in her music and in her message of testimony which she shares from her heart.
Sam was an absolute blessing to have on our team. After volunteer staff and attendees of the retreat went home, her music went with them and continued to minister to them. Sam served us with a warm and joyful heart. Her partner in this music ministry is her husband, Warren; he is her wizard sound man, who accompanies her with awesome percussion skills and blistering saxophone. He too is a faith-filled man, and together they were able to carry the mood or set the pace, showing great sensitivity with their musical selections.
I highly recommend that you experience the music of Sam Scales Arnold. She is a consummate professional and we hope she will come back and help make our retreat a memorable event again next year.

My name is Melanie Daigle and I operate a ministry called “The Refuge” and I met Sam Scales on April 7, 2006 when her and her husband Warren came to play a concert at my ministry. Upon our first meeting I found Sam and her husband Warren to be some of the most awesome people I have ever met. They were so full of joy and excitement for the Lord and their lives and ministry have made an incredible impact on my life and many others through their ministry. Although both Sam and Warren are equally inspiring, I will speak mostly about Sam since this letter is a recommendation for her specifically.
Sam is such an “encourager” and a powerful women of God. Over the last few years as I have moved forward in God’s call, there have been some incredibly rough and challenging times and Sam has always been there when I needed her to encourage and help me move forward. She continually has the Word of God on her tongue and a shout of praise for our awesome God! She has ministered to me on many occasion’s and it always seems it was the right word at the right time!! Even though Sam has moved away, we still keep in contact through email and occasional phone calls where we pray for one another.
I have been so inspired to see how obedient Sam is to God’s call on her life and willing to go where He tells her to go and do what He ask her to do. Her faith has been stretched many times and she has questioned “why” but she has never shrunk back from moving forward with God and walking in obedience to Him. Sam’s music is also an inspiration and a blessing to all who hear her. The thing I love about Sam and her music is that she has so many dimensions of who she is as an artist, worship leader and performer. She can sing one tune that brings out the “Rocker Chic” in her and get the house jammin’ and then in an instant move her audience into God’s Presence with Praise and Worship and Contemporary worship. She and her music are extremely versatile and will appeal to all generations and all sects of society, which in my opinion is extremely important in winning new souls to the Kingdom of God. I highly recommend Sam not only as a worship leader, artist and performer at any event or venue, but also as a minister of the Gospel, where her cool and laid back personality mixed with her knowledge and revelation of God’s Word make her an excellent spokesperson in this generation to reach those that have been unreached, unloved and rejected. Sam is an AWESOME person and I am so excited to see how God is taking her higher and higher and giving her more success in her music ministry. I know that God will complete His work in her and use all of her wonderful gifts, talents and abilities to win souls for His Kingdom.

Dear Brother Warren and Sister Sam,
LETTER OF COMMENDATION AND RECOMMENDATION
First, I will like to commend you for your beautiful outing here in Halle (Saale), Germany during the Easter music concert held in our church, World Reconciliation International Christian Centre. To me God has given you a special ministry through which you can preach the WORD to the less privileged masses that are out there all over the world. It also gladdens my heart that you are doing this with all your might and consequently bringing joy and gladness to people. God is really happy with you. This is because He is always happy when He sees people like you giving your time and everything to praise Him by singing joyfully to worship Him. It may gladden you to hear that we now have more Dutch in our church since that concert. Your performance was unbelievable, wonderful and great. I strongly request you to continue this ministry of yours. Sam, you really need to reach to AFRICA and ASIA. I hope you understand.
Second, I know that one major constraint that is likely going to confront you is how you are going to keep moving, i.e. how to get fund to accomplish your goals. Please remember the miracle of bringing money out of the mouth of a fish by our LORD JESUS CHRIST. The same God is still at work (Hebrew 13 V 8) and he will raise people up to support your ministry. Consequently, I will like to use this medium to recommend your ministry to fellow brothers and sisters, churches and well meaning organizations all over the world for support both financially and morally. God needs a cheerful giver and I am assuring them of God’s blessings.
Finally, the memory of your performance still lingers on in Germany and my home church, though of very smaller congregation, is looking forward to receiving you in 2008 Easter in Nigeria.
I commend you in to the hands of God. May His face continue to shine on you and your ministry (Amen).
I love you all. Yours truly,
Johnson Oluwasola Agbede (PhD), Halle (Saale), Germany
