A PASTOR'S TESTIMONY:
Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure that I recommend the music ministry of Warren Arnold and Sam Scales-Arnold. We had the privilege of having Warren and Sam play and sing for us in August of 2003 at JOSIAH’S PLACE Coffeehouse, a division of The Overflowing Cup Total Life Center. They won the hearts of young and old alike and have become one of our favorite groups. We can hardly wait until they return to Beloit.
What impresses me is the quality of their sound, their exciting presentation and their heartfelt compassion and love for the Lord. They are truly talented musicians and their vocals are awesome. Their songs convey a message of hope and inspiration and a clear invitation to know Jesus Christ as personal savior. It is obvious that both Warren & Sam are humble and simply want to serve the Lord through their music.
I believe that Warren Arnold & Sam Scales-Arnold are destined to gain national recognition and I HIGHLY recommend them to all audiences, both Christian and secular. I hope that you invite them to your venue soon.
Sincerely in Christ,
Dave Fogderud, Founding Pastor

Thank you both very much for the WONDERFUL addition to our service yesterday (April 10, 05). Your music was OUTSTANDING. We hear quite a bit positive about it. We would like to work out getting you back and to try to help you out on your equipment needs. Hope it was worthwhile coming to our church. I believe you both touch quite a few people during the service. Thanks again and may God bless,

I hightly recommend Sam Scales for any music or ministry event you are planning. Sam is a true musicinary, a servant based artist with a heart of gold. Sam is a very good vocalist as well! I 've heard Sam in person and she communicates her faith in Chrsit with passion, excellence and sincerity.

Warren and Sam did a great job at my CIA Summit, held March 17-20, 2005 in Franklin, TN. Everyone loved their food; they fed about 300 people for 3 days. I didn't hear of one complaint! I cannot recommend Warren and Sam highly enough for your event.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note and let you know how much we appreciated your ministry with us. It indeed was a real blessing to have you with us. Your desire to be sensitive to the Lord in all that you do was definitely reflected in your ministry and in our fellowship later.

All of us at Judson would heartily recommend your ministry in music and song to any gathering of believers or outreach to the lost.

May the Lord continue to draw you closer to Himself and may He fully express His love and grace through your lives and your ministry.

A fellow servant,

Pastor Mike Dillard, Judson Memorial Baptist Church, Beloit, WI

Common Ground Ministries has recently begun a new ministry called The Mix, which is an alternate worship service for the ministry. We have had the good fortune, a blessing really, to have had Samantha Scales-Arnold and Warren Arnold, or Psalm 100 Ministries, in on this Holy Spirit filled endeavor since its inception. They have been very willing to play for the ministry, in the middle of the week no less, and share a part of how the Lord has affected and continues to affect their lives and personal ministry.
Their music is inspirational and plays to a wide range of individuals, which is a good thing, as we have many different age groups attending The Mix on Wednesday evening. They are able to match their music to the Gospel each evening or Sunday and are willing to play to our needs and design. They are a wonderfully flexible couple.
The Arnolds play several instruments with Warren's sax being a joyful addition during benediction and prayer time at the end of worship service. Their voices, along with the songs prepared add to the worship experience mightily. They are a joy and a blessing to have in our midst.
Members of the group have recently suggested they play at the local cancer benefit in Beloit and they agreed to do so. My understanding is that Sam and Warren were a hit once again. They assisted in the program gladly and were able to share their family stories regarding family losses to cancer.
The Arnolds have helped lift people up to the Lord our God and I believe the work they have committed themselves to is adding to the crowd of disciple of Christ. We will have them back again in July for a blessing of the bikes before the bikers leave for Sturgis, South Dakota. We are looking forward to another night of joyful worship with our Lord and our God.

It is with a joyful heart that I recommend the ministry of Psalm 100 Ministries to you.
Yours in Christ our Lord,

Reverend Paul Gregersen

To Whom It May Concern,

Sam has been such an encouragement to me for the past 5 years. I have truly been blessed to have such a wonderful friend and spiritual mentor.
As a fellow sister in Christ, Sam has encouraged me to live my dreams.

I too am a singer/songwriter and have a heart for ministry. Born with congetive heart failure, I was told that I would not survive...and if I were ever to overcome the disease I would not live past 30. So for many years because of that fact was told that I was never going to succeed in life and felt discouraged from a very early age. I have been through many other tragedy's that had taken their toll on me emotionally and physically. I have now come to understand that God had a plan for me from the very beginning and now am seeing my purpose being fufilled.

God has used Sam in so many ways in my life. She was one of the people that I have always knew could give me a solid word for my situation. Through her own struggles she has tought me how to depend on God even when things are tough. She has encouraged me to continue to pursue my call in music. I am now heavily involved in the Music Arts ministry as a Praise and Worship leader at a large church in Tulsa Oklahoma.

For many years I was very fearful of using the gift that I know God had placed in me. Through our friendship and through the Grace of God I have come to see what God can do and how he brings those dreams to pass.

I am so grateful to know such a wonderful, strong and courageous women of God!

"Hello, this is Lukas from Germany.
I just visited Sam & Warren's concert live in Munich April 22nd and I wanna say, these two musicians are a real treasure.

Sam plays an "Addicted-to-Jesus" guitar. Her style is rockin'. Most of all I appreciate Sam's ability to listen to the Holy Spirit - she really wants Jesus to speak to everyone through her songs. That makes a difference that we all need. Live with Warren on percussion their concerts are just a wonderful refreshing time in God's presence. Sam's song "Be Still & Know" that she performed live during their Germany Tour 2007, is my favourite one. God bless, Sam & Warren !!

You need to go to their concert and be filled and encouraged by their honest ministry. They are people that listen to the Holy Spirit in my opinion.
I don't use to talk too much about what God tells me personally - but about 2 months ago God directly spoke to my heart sitting in my car on my way to work that morning. He said: "Lukas, be still and know that I am God." A simple but strong message that has a power to set free. That "letter from God" was powerful to me because I recognized that it is God himself who is able to do ANYthing. He sees everything, He is not closing His eyes and He is a God of justice and righteousness. No matter what happened in the past, no matter, what is happening right now, the only thing that matters is the knowledge that "God himself is holding it ALL in HIS hands. I am allowed to "shut down" my own strength for a good while. So HE will bless, restore and heal. If GOD (!) is FOR me, WHO (!) could be against me? This shows that God's power is much stronger than ANYthing else. Not any person or thing can ever come against the power of Jesus himself.

So today - about 10 weeks later - this Sunday morning - I knew that I had to go to Munich just to be an encouragement and also to get encouraged. During sitting there in the Sunday-morning-service Sam played one of her special songs. Can you imagine .... the title and hookline of that song was called "Be still and know that I am God." Well, to see that God speaks personally - that is so refreshing in these days. That makes us able to live in these days. Of course you could say, Lukas, that could has happend by case. I would say, maybe, but I can also see that there is a God that sees our heart's desires as His job.

Dear Brother Warren and Sister Sam,

LETTER OF COMMENDATION AND RECOMMENDATION

First, I will like to commend you for your beautiful outing here in Halle (Saale), Germany during the Easter music concert held in our church, World Reconciliation International Christian Centre. To me God has given you a special ministry through which you can preach the WORD to the less privileged masses that are out there all over the world. It also gladdens my heart that you are doing this with all your might and consequently bringing joy and gladness to people. God is really happy with you. This is because He is always happy when He sees people like you giving your time and everything to praise Him by singing joyfully to worship Him. It may gladden you to hear that we now have more Dutch in our church since that concert. Your performance was unbelievable, wonderful and great. I strongly request you to continue this ministry of yours. Sam, you really need to reach to AFRICA and ASIA. I hope you understand.
Second, I know that one major constraint that is likely going to confront you is how you are going to keep moving, i.e. how to get fund to accomplish your goals. Please remember the miracle of bringing money out of the mouth of a fish by our LORD JESUS CHRIST. The same God is still at work (Hebrew 13 V 8) and he will raise people up to support your ministry. Consequently, I will like to use this medium to recommend your ministry to fellow brothers and sisters, churches and well meaning organizations all over the world for support both financially and morally. God needs a cheerful giver and I am assuring them of God’s blessings.
Finally, the memory of your performance still lingers on in Germany and my home church, though of very smaller congregation, is looking forward to receiving you in 2008 Easter in Nigeria.
I commend you in to the hands of God. May His face continue to shine on you and your ministry (Amen).
I love you all.
Yours truly,

A TESTIMONY FROM MYSPACE:
You know what, Sam...God put us in contact with each other. There's a reason, a purpose, for everything. Out of all the requests for prayer I put out in bulletins, and all the requests I wrote to people personally asking for prayer for Danner and her baby.....YOU are the only one that responded back to me. The only person that gave me a viewable, real, response to my request that showed me proof that others WERE praying and agreeing with me in prayer for her. You have no idea how much that means to me, and I thank you for that. I hope and pray that our friendship continues to grow and that someday, yes, we will have the ability to actually meet each other. If you ever want to REALLY chat sometime, just give me a call.

Julie Campbell

Editor's Note:
I had asked Julie Campbell to write out her own testimony about being a mom and worrying about her adult children (as I tend to do that these days). Julie and I have met through MySpace when she wrote in for a prayer request for her daughter and unborn child. It was a privilege to pray and watch God work in her daughter's life and hear about a healthy baby born!
Sam

Here is Julie's testimony:

I just thank God for all that He does in my life! It was very hard when the decision was made to leave our adult children and four grandchildren behind to relocate out of State to Tennessee, as I have a strong maternal instinct and have focused my entire life around my children. It was not an easy decision to make and it has been a huge adjustment for me; a very difficult journey emotionally, especially for the first year and a half. On more than one occasion during that first year I thought I would just simply not make it without my children and grandchildren close by, to watch over them, but God is good! He has brought me through! I have come to realize that they CAN make it on their own and that there comes a day in every parents life that we MUST learn to let go. This was a huge turning point in my life as God lead me through the journey of allowing my children to grow up and live their own lives. He taught me this lesson in one simple phrase of a book I begun to read and this is what it said...."Where's theres no control, there's no responsibility". However, it took months and months to drill it into my head, this was not an easy teach, let me tell ya! I went through mental turmoil and worried myself literally sick over wanting and missing my children. Holding me close and never letting me go, the Lord walked me to the understanding that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, there is hope for our children; they do make it on their own, just as we ourselves have! We have to allow our children, as our parents had to do with us, to make their own decisions and take responsibility for those decisions. We cannot live our children's lives for them. As painful as it is to watch our children make bad choices or decisions, we have to allow them the opportunity to learn from their mistakes. If us "fix it and make it all better" mothers continue to try to make things all better by handling situations for our kids, they will never learn to handle life's issues on their own. I praise and give thanks to God for His never ending grace and faithfulness! Had it not been for the Lord in my life I could have not made this journey on my own! And as my life's journey continues I will forever look to my Father above for His strength and guidance to lead me through!
