Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth.
Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing.
Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.
- Psalm 100, NASB

CD-NEWS
For some reason the studio did not get my songs mixed, but he promised he'd have my CD done by September 16th. I really hope so.....
Now - the artwork..... I met with the local photographer and he is working on some ideas for a CD photo. We also got the lyrics out to my songs to see if anything really pops out that should be used for the photo shoot! I'm excited about working with him.

We are so excited to be partnering up with NGATHA International. NGATHA stands for National/Global Association for Trift and Humanitarian Aid.
In the Kikuyu language of Kenya, "Ngatha" means "a virtuous woman".
Through our friend Josie Mattson, we were indroduced to Dr. Mumbi Mwangi, a professor at St. Cloud State University, who teaches women's studies. Dr. Mumbi is the president and founder of NGATHA International, with an incredible testimony of God's plan for her life and her vision and passion for the children in her country.
Ngatha International is a grass-roots organization. The first children's homestead and learning center which opened in Kenya at the beginning of 2007.
Quality education is vitally important for the success of children and communities in the developing world.
Ngatha's children are so eager to learn and by living and learning on the Homestead, these children are being exposed to many things that will help them navigate their lives and make informed choices for themselves, their families, and the community at large, while still honoring and respecting their history, culture and belief systems.
NGATHA International's mission is based on a "full circle" process, whereby prosperity comes to a community not by handing out money or humanitarian aid items and moving on to the next desitnation. It's about building roots, building FAITH and foundations, providing training, tools and resources to help people help themselves. It's about access to clean water, information about HIV/AIDS, helath & wellbeing, gender equality, creating jobs, improving the local economy and excellend child education.
St. Cloud Hospital & CentraCare Clinics in St. Joseph, Melose and Heartland, MN have recently donated equipment, supplies, doors, beds, exam tables, sinks and much more to build a medical clinic at the homestead.
"NGATHA International Ngamini Village Medical Center" will be such a blessing to the people there! It is a HUGE provision from God for them!
All items are currently being stored in storages donated to NGATHA for a period of time and NGATHA is in the process of fundraising efforts to ship all equipment and supplies to Kenya, Africa. We will also need qualified people to come to Kenya and help build the clinic.........there is so much to do!!
We will make more announcements as these events happen and we are excited to be part of this organization with any help they need from typing, poster designs, taking meeting minutes, to physically tearing doors out of medical clinics about to be torn down here in Minnesota - to doing worship music for their seminars, Dr. Mumbi's speaking engagements and other events.
The driving force and support behind NGATHA International are committee members Ralph & Jan Boeckers and Family. Through a tragedy in their life, the loss of their son, they want to give hope to others.
"Our tears of despair have turned into tears of hope" - Jan Boeckers.
With the help of Steve & Nancy Streng the work will be accomplished and we hope you catch the vision and come help us to help the children, their families and the community of the Ngamini Village in Kenya, Africa.
Please don't forget to check out NGATHA International website!
